Taking a family vacation to North Myrtle Beach is an exciting time, but getting ready for it can be overwhelming. Many parents who are vacationing in North Myrtle Beach during the year may not know what to pack. We at Grande Shores Resort have come up with a handy list to help you and your family get your beach bag ready with all the essentials. Let's look below at what you should consider adding to your beach bag for your next vacation to North Myrtle Beach.
Beach Bag Essentials
Beach Towels
Anytime you prepare for your family vacation, you want to
make sure that you have everything packed and ready to go before you leave
home. Packing a towel for every member in the family, whether they just sit on
the beach playing in the sand or after taking a dip in the ocean. Having an
extra towel or two is always a plus, especially if you have little ones. Before
your trip, allow each child to pick out their beach towel so that when it's
time to dry off after a day on the beach or at the pool, there will be no
fighting over who has which towel.
Sunscreen
Another main part of your beach bag essentials that you will
need and is a must is sunscreen. The sun in the south is a lot stronger than if
you were to vacation anywhere up north, and we want to make sure you're
protected. Dermatologists suggest that you use sunscreen with at least 30 SPF
while you're enjoying the sunshine. Don't forget to reapply throughout the day
as we don't want you or the family to burn on your first day. If you do happen
to get a little more sun than you expected, be sure to pack a bottle of aloe.
Beach Toys
Anytime you go on vacation to the beach with kids, bringing
sand toys is just what you will need. We know that packing some of the beach
toys can seem a little cumbersome but making sure that the kids can enjoy the
beach is a good thing. Along with the beach toys, bringing along a mesh bag to keep
the toys in after your day at the beach. This will allow the sand to be shaken
off while the toys are in the bag.
Sand-Free Hack
One thing that may not be thought of whenever you're packing
for your vacation is baby powder. If you're staying in a vacation rental or you're
driving your car to the beach access, sand will make it back with you. Instead,
have a small bottle of baby powder, and it will magically get the sand off your
body without irritation. How cool is that?!
You can pack in your beach bag many other things, but we wanted to share these above with you. If you haven't booked your beach vacation to stay with us in one at Grande Shores, now is the time. We look forward to seeing you and your family this year!
