It can sometimes be overwhelming when planning or choosing a night time activity for families when on vacation in Myrtle Beach. While a quiet evening at the resort or walking on the beach is blissful, some nights you need something extra. A little pizzazz that you can't experience back home. There's the old stand-by's of walking around Barefoot, Broadway, or Tanger after you've had a big meal but that can get old during a beach vacation. After all, there's only so much putt-putt and shopping you can handle! So, what is a fun attraction for families in Myrtle Beach at night? The Charles Bach Wonders Theatre, of course!
This new state of the art theatre is conveniently located at Broadway at the Beach, near the restaurant area and is run by Mr. Charles Bach, a renown illusionist and entertainer who has appeared on television shows such as Penn and Teller Fool Us and has performed for years at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and at the Magic Castle in Hollywood. Charles has delighted audiences in over 55 countries and is now becoming one of the most popular attractions for families in Myrtle Beach.
There are two main shows which feature '?Charles Bach Wonders! A Magical Experience'? and '?Steve Falcon's Comedy Hypnosis Hour'?. During the summer months they add '?Wacky Chad! Stunt Comedy Show in July and '?Spheres Bubble Show'? during the 1st two weeks of August.
I was fortunate enough to meet Charles and to experience his main show recently and I can say that Myrtle Beach is very lucky to have such a great new family option for evening entertainment. Not only does the show feature top notch illusions, guests will certainly enjoy the dancing, music, and comedy. Charles and his dancers are very accomplished and there was never a dull moment during the show. There is a ton of audience participation as well. My 11-year-old daughter was clapping, singing, and had an absolute blast! Charles even shows how to do several tricks at home!
Myrtle Beach has great shows like Pirate's Voyage, Medieval Times, and Alabama Theater, but they will certainly take up a huge chunk of time for your evening. '?A Magical Experience'? lasts about an hour and 20 minutes with a short intermission. It is the perfect accompaniment to an evening spent at Broadway at the Beach or if you want to have enough time to enjoy a night back at the resort.
The staff and performers were extremely welcoming and made everyone feel at home. After the performance, Charles and staff are on hand for pictures and you can even pick up a home magic kit that includes some of the tricks that Charles learned when he first started.
Charles told me about the 2nd show, '?Steve Falcon's Comedy Hypnosis Hour'?, which is adults only and is a must-see for those looking for huge laughs! Steve Falcon has appeared on many shows such as 90 Day Fiancé' and Pawn Stars as well as performing for many years at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas. His show features incredible demonstrations of hypnosis with audience members, side-splitting comedy, and lots of audience participation. Check out a preview HERE.
On your next Myrtle Beach trip, be sure to check out The Charles Bach Wonders Theatre for a great night of entertainment for the family!
