Summer Nights Flare: Hula Fire Returns to Grande Shores
Summer at Grande Shores Resort is set to shine a little brighter as we welcome back one of our most captivating seasonal experiences. Beginning June 2nd, our guest-favorite Hula Fire Show returns every Tuesday evening, transforming the oceanfront lawn into a vibrant celebration of Polynesian culture against the backdrop of the Atlantic.
Guests can enjoy an unforgettable evening filled with traditional dance, live music, and mesmerizing fire performances, all while learning about the rich history and traditions that inspire the show. With the ocean breeze, open sky, and the glow of the performance, it’s an experience that truly brings summer nights to life at the resort.
Running weekly through September, the Hula Fire Show has become a must-see tradition for many returning guests and a highlight for those discovering it for the first time. It’s the perfect way to elevate your stay and create lasting vacation memories right here at Grande Shores.

Earlier this year, we had the pleasure of hosting students from Wren Middle School, Bryson Middle School, and Camden Middle School as part of the 2026 South Carolina National Beta Club State Convention held here in Myrtle Beach. With over 120 students staying at Grande Shores, the weekend was filled with academic, artistic, and leadership competitions, and we’re proud to share that every student represented achieved recognition at the National Convention! It was an inspiring stay full of energy, achievement, and community spirit.
We also had the joy of welcoming the Ackles Family Reunion, bringing together 57 family members from across the eastern United States for a truly unforgettable Easter weekend. Their stay was filled with connection and celebration, including a lively family game night, a fun ’70s-themed party, and a beautiful Easter brunch at Shoreline Café, perfectly complemented by oceanfront vibes and quality time together.

A Fresh Look for a New Season!
This off-season has been all about thoughtful enhancements designed to elevate every part of the guest experience at Grande Shores Resort. As we head into an exciting spring and summer, we’re proud to share a refreshed property that feels brighter, more welcoming, and more inviting from the moment you arrive.
Inside our oceanfront rooms on floors 4, 5, and 6, new carpeting has been installed to create a cleaner, more updated feel that complements the stunning coastal views just beyond your balcony. Outside, our landscaping has been reimagined with vibrant new plantings that enhance the arrival experience at the front entrance and add even more beauty to our oceanfront lawn, where colorful blooms now frame the perfect backdrop for relaxation overlooking the Atlantic.
Guests will also notice a newly updated boardwalk, guiding you seamlessly from the pool deck, across the oceanfront lawn, and directly down to the beach, making access to the shoreline more stunning than ever.
Additionally, our indoor pool area has received a full refresh, including resurfaced pools and freshly painted walls, creating a brighter, more inviting space for families and children to enjoy year-round comfort regardless of the weather.

Meet the Team: Michael Spillane
At Grande Shores Resort, exceptional guest experiences start with strong leadership, and we’re excited to introduce our new Resort Manager, Michael Spillane. With over 25 years in the hospitality industry, Michael brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of what it takes to create memorable stays for every guest.
Since moving to Myrtle Beach in 2018, Michael has owned and operated local restaurants and spent the past six years working within resort properties along the coast. His passion for hospitality and commitment to service make him a perfect fit for the Grande Shores team.
When he’s not at the resort, Michael enjoys spending time with his family here in North Myrtle Beach, taking advantage of everything the area has to offer, from relaxing beach days to time on the golf course.
Michael shared, “I am excited to play a vital role in providing our guests the best quality and service that this resort is known for. I look forward to meeting everyone.”

Sip, Create, and Connect at Shoreline Café
At Grande Shores Resort, we’re always looking for new ways to bring guests together and add a little extra creativity to your stay. Our recently renovated Shoreline Café has quickly become the perfect setting for our growing lineup of Sip & Craft events, where fun, relaxation, and a touch of coastal inspiration come together.
Over the past few months, guests and locals alike have joined us for unique experiences like our “Mermaids & Mimosas” celebration, festive hot chocolate bomb creations for Galentine’s, and a colorful Sip & Paint featuring jellyfish canvases. Each event has offered a chance to unwind, get creative, and connect with others in a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere.
The fun continues this season with our upcoming “Sip, Shell & Create” event, where guests can gather seashells from the shore and craft a beautiful sea turtle silhouette, a perfect keepsake to remember your time at the beach.

Springtime Smiles: Easter at Grande Shores
Easter at Grande Shores Resort was a celebration to remember, filled with a full week of festive activities and family-friendly fun from start to finish. Spanning from the Tuesday leading up to the holiday through the following week, guests enjoyed a lively lineup of events designed to bring everyone together and create lasting vacation memories.
From hands-on Easter crafts and coloring contests to tie-dye sessions, cookie decorating, and live DJ entertainment, there was something for guests of all ages to enjoy throughout the week. One of the biggest highlights was our annual Easter egg hunt across the oceanfront lawn, where families gathered for an afternoon of excitement, laughter, and plenty of surprises.
The celebration all led up to a beautiful Easter Sunday, featuring a delicious brunch and special photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny, creating the perfect setting for families to relax, connect, and enjoy the holiday by the beach.
