Timeless and forever fresh, the variety show appeals to many interests and ages. Music, sketch-comedy, dancing, lots of light and color and action all go into a fast-paced stage show called The Carolina Opry that has been a success since its launch on May 6th, 1982. The Gilmore Production team also features a second product, this one targeted to the "baby boom" generation with its "hippie" trend and cultural themes. Called Good Vibrations, this show, also at the Palace, takes the audience back to the 60's, 70's, and 80's with music, costumes, humor, dance, and much more. Both shows have a loyal following of locals as well as visitors who come to the beach and come back to The Carolina Opry, year after year. In fact, their Christmas show is one of the hottest holiday tickets in town, with some prime dates being sold out for years in advance.
